There is a late addition to this month’s World Series Of Fighting 34 card, which will see19 Bruno Santos take on Vagab Vagabov in a middleweight division fight.
Santos (14-2-0) will be competing for the first time since he was released by the UFC, which came after a loss to Elias Theodorou at UFC Fight Night 54 in October 2014. It has been over two years now since Santos last competed in a professional MMA fight, which is the longest break he has had since turning pro in 2007. Santos is also a former Win, Fight & Entertainment Middleweight Champion, he defeated Danilo Pereira to win the belt in 2009.
Vagabov (18-0-0) has already competed once in the World Series Of Fighting, defeating Brian Grinnell at the WSOF 23. Vagabov has competed outside the WSOF since his promotional debut, as he defeated Nikos Sokolis at World Fighting Championships Akhmat 17. Vagabov has primarily competed in his home country of Russia and he has also seen action in the M-1 Challenge promotion.
World Series Of Fighting 34 takes place on Saturday, December 31 from The Theater At Madison Square Garden with Justin Gaethje and Joao Zeferino headlining.
