A welterweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 253 as Benson Henderson faces Jason Jackson.

Henderson (28-9-0) has won four of his last five in Bellator, with those wins coming over Roger Huerta, Saad Awad, Adam Piccolotti and Myles Jury. Henderson hasn’t picked up a win in over a year, with his last victory coming at Bellator 227 in September of 2019. Henderson is a former UFC lightweight champion, defeating Frankie Edgar at UFC 144 to claim the gold.
Jackson (12-4-0) has won three of four during his time in Bellator, with those wins coming over Jordan Larson, Kiichi Kunimoto and Jordan Mein. Jackson is a former LFA welterweight champion, defeating Hemerson De Sousa to win the gold at LFA 71. Jackson also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, suffering a second round submission loss to Kyle Stewart.
Bellator 253 takes place on Saturday, November 19 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with AJ McKee and Darrion Caldwell headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the CBS Sports Network.
