Report: Ian Heinisch Faces Brendan Allen At UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker

A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker as #13 Ian Heinisch faces Brendan Allen.

Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Heinisch (14-3-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 250. Heinisch is undefeated when competing on “Fight Night” cards, picking up victories at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires and UFC Fight Night Rochester. Heinisch picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.

Allen (14-3-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, picking up wins over Kevin Holland and Tom Breese. Allen is a former LFA Middleweight Champion, defeating Moses Murrietta to win the gold at LFA 61 in February of last year. Allen comes into the bout riding a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t been beaten in over two years. 

UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
