Douglas Silva De Andrade has been pulled from UFC 248 for undisclosed reasons, replacing him against Movsar Evloev is Jamall Emmers.
Shawn Bitter of Cageside Press first reported the news and the bout is still going to be a part of the preliminary card.
Evloev (12-0-0) has already picked up two wins under the UFC banner, with those coming over Seung Woo Choi and Enrique Barzola. Evloev is a former M-1 Challenge Bantamweight Champion, defeating Pavel Vitruk to win the gold at M-1 Challenge 81. Evloev has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and five of those bouts went the distance.
Emmers (17-4-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Emmers also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11, suffering a second round knockout loss to Julian Erosa. Emmers has competed a total of twenty one times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.
