There is a late change to this weekends UFC 228 card according to MMA Junkie as Jarred Brooks is replacing an injured Ryan Benoit against Roberto Sanchez.
Brooks (13-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Jose Torres and Deiveson Figueiredo. Brooks hasn’t picked up a win in over a year, with that last victory coming over Eric Shelton at UFC 214. Brooks has suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, but the competitor have yet to be beaten by way of submission.
Sanchez (8-1-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Joby Sanchez at UFC Fight Night Austin. Sanchez has seen eight straight fights end by way of submission and it has been over three years since a fight didn't end by tap out. Sanchez has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Joseph Morales at UFC Fight Night Mexico City.
UFC 228 takes place on Saturday, September 8 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Tyron Woodley and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
