A heavyweight division affair is going to be headlining UFC Fight Night Boise according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as Junior Dos Santos will battle Blagoy Ivanov.
Dos Santos (18-5-0) is competing for the first time since USADA cleared him and three others for a failed drug test in 2017. Dos Santos is also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, defeating Cain Velasquez at UFC On Fox 1 to claim the gold. Dos Santos has rotated wins and losses in his last eight UFC bouts, with his last fight being a loss to UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 211.
Ivanov (16-1-0-1NC) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Ivanov is a former World Series Of Fighting Heavyweight Champion, defeating Smealinho Rama at the WSOF 21 to win the gold. Ivanov has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov at Bellator 120.
UFC Fight Night Boise takes place on Saturday, July 14 from the Century Bank Arena in Boise, Idaho with Junior Dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
