A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 251 as Karol Rosa faces Vanessa Melo.
Combate first reported the bout, which is slated to be a part of the preliminary card.
Rosa (12-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Lara Procopio at UFC Fight Night Shenzhen. Rosa has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and two of those three came to past and/or current UFC fighters. Rosa has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of those victories came by way of decision.
Melo (10-7-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, having dropped bouts to the duo of Irene Aldana and Tracy Cortez. Melo has seen her last nine fights go the distance and it has been almost five years since the fighter got a finish. Melo has competed seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and fourteen of those bouts went the distance.
