A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to the recently announced UFC card on August 29 as Mallory Martin faces Hannah Cifers.
MMA DNA first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Martin (6-3-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Virna Jandiroba at UFC Fight Night Washington DC. Martin competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 9, defeating Micol DiSegni by unanimous decision. Martin has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those bouts went the distance.
Cifers (10-6-0) enters the contest riding a three fight losing streak, dropping fights to Angela Hill, Mackenzie Dern and Mariya Agapova. Cifers hasn’t picked up a win in nearly a year, as her last victory came at UFC 241 in August of last year. Cifers has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter, with half of them coming by way of KO/TKO.
The recently announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, August 29 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
