It has been previously reported that Raulian Paiva has been pulled from UFC Vegas 12 and his opponent in Amir Albazi will now fight Zhalgas Zhumagulov on November 28.
MMA Junkie first reported the news.
Albazi (13-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner. His lone win comes against Malcom Gordon at UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez II. Albazi has suffered just one loss as a professional MMA fighter. That loss came to Jose Torres at Brave CF 23. Albazi has competed 14 times as a professional MMA fighter and has only gone the distance twice.
Zhumagulov (13-4-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to the aforementioned Paiva at UFC 251. Zhumagulov is a former Fight Nights Global flyweight champion, defeating Tyson Nam at FNG 86 to win the gold. Zhumagulov has not earned a victory in over a year, as his last win came in October of 2019.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, November 28 with Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
