Just days after announcing that she wasn’t staying with the UFC, strawweight fighter Viviane Pereira has signed a multi-fight deal with Invicta FC according to MMA Fighting.
While the report says that the UFC veteran has signed a deal with the promotion, it doesn’t say how many fights or how much money the deal if for. Pereira says she left the UFC after a four fight run in the organization due to the promotion not meeting “certain criteria.”
Pereira (13-2-0) won two of four fights during her time in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Valerie Letourneau and Jamie Moyle. Pereira ended her run with the promotion on a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to both Tatiana Suarez and Xiaoanan Yan. Pereira has seen her last five fights go the distance and it has been over three years since the fighter got a finish. Pereira’s last bout with the UFC came at UFC Fight Night Liverpool, where she suffered a decision loss to the aforementioned Xiaoanan Yan.
There is no word yet as to when Pereira is expected to be making her Invicta Fighting Championships debut or whom that opponent the Brazilian is going to be facing at that time.
