Women's Strawweight Fight Added To UFC Fight Night 103

A women’s strawweight division fight has been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night 103 event as Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger does battle against Nina Ansaroff.

Jones-Lybarger (6-3-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping fights to both Randa Markos and Tecia Torres. Jones-Lybarger is a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Women’s Strawweight Champion, she defeated former Bellator MMAWomen’s Flyweight Champion Zoila Frausto to win the title at RFA 31. Prior to turning pro in 2012, Jones-Lybarger defeated upcoming UFC debutante Ashley Yoder in an amateur MMA fight at a Tuff-N-Uff event.

Ansaroff (6-5-0) is also winless thus far in UFC competition, with her defeats coming to both Juliana Lima and Justine Kish. Ansaroff also competed once under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner, defeating Munah Holland at Invicta FC 7. Prior to coming to the UFC in 2014, Ansaroff fought and lost to the former and also first ever UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza at a Crowbar MMA event.

UFC Fight Night 103 takes place on Sunday, January 15 from the Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with BJ Penn and Yair Rodriguez headlining, the main card will be airing live on Fox Sports 1.
