AEW is loading up the card for the August 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, which will kick off Fyter Fest 2023.
As announced on the August 18 episode of AEW Rampage, Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) will defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy). Davis and Fletcher defeated Brother Zay and Ethan Page to retain the gold on the August 18 episode, and The Hardys issued the challenge.

Elsewhere on the show, The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) will face Juice Robinson and The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn). The Young Bucks defeated The Gunns on the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, and Bullet Club Gold attacked them after the match.
Plus, Swerve Strickland and AR Fox will continue their rivalry with Darby Allin and Nick Wayne when the two teams collide in a tag team match. In women's division action, Ruby Soho will face Skye Blue.
Additionally, Jack Perry has vowed to retire the FTW Championship, Jon Moxley will face Rey Fenix, and Renee Paquette will interview both AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole. In another interview, AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) will speak with the Young Bucks (Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson). Wheeler was arrested on August 18 and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a firearm. His bond was set at $2,500 at his arraignment hearing.
