Paige Returns To WWE, Mandy Rose And Sonya Deville Debut On Raw

WWE gained a former Divas Champion back on their roster Monday night.

25-year old Paige made her return to the WWE after being out of action for a bevy of reasons on this week's episode of WWE Raw. Paige was greeted with "welcome back" chants as she stood on the ramp. She declared that she wasn't alone as Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose of NXT debuted by attacking the members of the Raw women's roster.

WWE United States Title Match Added To Friday's WWE SmackDown

Paige came into WWE in a flurry, winning the NXT Women's Title and WWE Diva's in 2014. Her last match on TV was June 6th 2016 when she was in a tag match. Some fans point to her match against Emma in 2013 as a prelude to "The Diva's Revolution" which led to female wrestlers being called "Superstars" like male wrestlers and the new WWE Women's Championship. The two-time world champion is twenty-four-years-old and a second generation wrestler.

The British star hasn't wrestled since 2016, as she's been out of action with a neck injury. She has been cleared however, and has expressed a willingness to return to the ring. Paige's 2017 has been nothing short of dramatic, with photo and video leaks, injuries, public spats with family and ex boyfriend Alberto El Patron, and much more. She also had a movie filmed about her life by The Rock's production company.

Paige has barely been mentioned for months on WWE TV, but was the subject of a WWE Youtube clip nearly two months ago that highlighted her potential return. She was selected for the Raw brand in the 2016 Draft, but a couple of suspensions and the aforementioned injury have left her out in the cold.

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose appeared on the 2015 season of WWE Tough Enough before being eliminated. Both would get signed to NXT and work for two years before getting a main roster callup. The trio encountered Alexa Bliss backstage and attacked her, as well.
