A new report says there's no deal in place for Chris Jericho to appear at Raw 25.
Wrestling Observer Radio reported last night that while Chris Jericho was announced for the show last night on Raw, there hasn't been any deal in place, at least as of last night. It's entirely possible that a deal has already been set, but when it was announced there wasn't a deal.
Jericho's inclusion as part of the Raw 25 lineup was a bit of a surprise last night. Jericho had spent the last few months in New Japan Pro Wrestling hyping a match between he and Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12. After he lost to Omega on January 4, the next day he attacked Tetsuya Naito at New Year Dash, signaling that his run with New Japan wasn't over and his next target would be Naito. In the report, it was noted that New Japan officials were aware that he may be contacted for the show.
Jericho will be joining list of many other people as Raw 25 will place both at the Manhattan Center and the Barclays Center on January 22.
