Report: WWE Working On Settlement With Mauro Ranallo That Would Include Gag-Order

Mauro Ranallo has yet to make any kind of statement on the issues surrounding his departure from WWE. He has a Non-disclosure agreement that remains active for as long as he is under contract. Ranallo's contract expires in August, and he will be free to speak out however he sees fit at that time.

But the WWE is working to make sure that never happens.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is committed to working out a settlement with Ranallo that would include clauses prohibiting him from ever publicly talking about the issue.

This bullying story has become a serious PR problem for WWE in recent days, not only with Ranallo's departure, but also with former ring announcer Justin Roberts' book being released. Many old bullying stories (most involving WWE mainstay and noted Vince McMahon surrogate John Brashaw Layfield) have been dredged up from the past, and have been reported in outlets such as Deadspin, Sports Illustrated, and The New York Post.
