ACH had a tryout with WWE back in 2014 but was not signed. Recently interviewed by Total Wrestling Magazine, ACH was asked about why he felt WWE did not take him, and if he was still interested in working for the most prominent promotion in professional wrestling.
"Oh yeah, absolutely," ACH said in response to any interest about a possible WWE deal in the future. "But right now, like I tell people, my heart and soul is all in on Ring Of Honor right now."
Currently under contract to ROH, ACH provided insight on his tryout camp with WWE in 2014, which he described as "pretty much a who’s who as far as the people that were there. It was pretty awesome. ... I just learned that I had so much more fight in me and I just learned that I do love the sport of professional wrestling as much as I say I do."
As for not being offered a WWE deal in 2014, ACH said it was "just not the right time, and I'm totally OK with that. If you ask me personally, the more time that I spend in Ring Of Honor, the more time I have to raise my stock. Timing is everything in wrestling, and I never look at anything as a failed opportunity. I believe that losing and failure is a state of mind, and if you tell yourself you lose or that you failed, then of course you’re gonna feel like a loser or a failure. It was actually a blessing in disguise because, without that, I wouldn’t have had some of the matches that I’ve had since then.”
ACH currently is not listed on the card for the next ROH iPPV event, Death Before Dishonor on August 19 in Las Vegas. However, the high flyer from St. Louis is scheduled for Field Of Honor 2016 on Aug. 27 from MCU Park in Brooklyn. That night, he will team with Lio Rush and the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) in an eight-man tag against the Bullet Club foursome of Yujiro Takahashi, Hangman Page and the Young Bucks.
