AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland Makes Surprise Appearance At DEFY Here And Now

Swerve Strickland came home.

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland made a surprise appearance at DEFY Here And Now on May 10. He reflected on his journey and noted that DEFY was a big part of it. Strickland highlighted what made DEFY special. He also looked back on main-eventing the first DEFY event against Cody Rhodes and gave the Undisputed WWE Champion a shout-out. Swerve praised current members of the roster and stated that DEFY got him started on his rise.

Strickland thanked the fans and noted that it was time for the next generation to shine. He also said that he would be doing a free meet-and-greet after the show.

Strickland is a former DEFY World Champion, and he has also held the DEFY Tag Team Championship.
