Alex Shelley comments on how he and Chris Sabin are continuing to wrap up their time on the independent circuit.
The Motor City Machine Guns finished their time in TNA Wrestling in March 2024. Since then, they have remained tight-lipped about their futures. However, Shelley has hinted in the past that wherever they may go, their time on the independent circuit may be fast approaching its end.
On Instagram, Shelley took some time to reflect on recent matches that he and Sabin have had, in addition to reflecting on the benefits of disc golf, while once again reminding fans that the Motor City Machine Guns are wrapping up their days as independent wrestlers.
Sabin and I have tried to hit tons of disc golf courses on the road. It’s got so many benefits: sunlight exposure, reduction in cortisol, global rotation (a forgotten movement pattern in some circles), and it gives us a chance to utilize some higher level hand eye. We went to Beaches in Toronto before @superkickd this past weekend since we stayed the night for @demandlucha against @arez.strange and @i_am_basegod. Had a submission match against @halfbakedkid while Sabin wrestled @clutchjessiev. It’s nice to have these matches and experiences while we wrap up independents and move onto wherever our next home will be! For the record, walking and lower level effort cardio can be done to ridiculous degrees for fat loss. Beta oxidation occurs with these sub max efforts for long durations. Again, the former TNA World Champion doesn't give much of a hint as to where he and Chris Sabin are headed. However, he has said in the past that loose lips sink ships.
