Anna Jay AS Praises BJ Whitmer For His Help With AEW Women’s Roster

Anna Jay AS has become one of the breakout stars in the AEW women's division with the majority of her career chronicled on AEW television.

Anna was only a handful of matches in when she began working with AEW during the pandemic era, and throughout her growth, many wrestlers and trainers have helped her and given her advice during that time.

Speaking to Phil Strum on Under The Ring, Jay gave credit to Chris Jericho and BJ Whitmer for their work with her and the women's division.

"Definitely, the obvious one is Chris Jericho," she said when asked who has helped her. "I get to go to him every week and get feedback, whether it’s promos or wrestling. Another person would be BJ Whitmer. He has been incredible with the women in AEW. Everyone would say the same things I’m about to say. He’s been incredible and someone who has helped us a ton and I really appreciate him. There are tons of people that give feedback week to week, but Chris and BJ are the two big ones right now that have really helped me pretty much every week."

When asked to confirm that Whitmer has worked closely with the women, Jay said, "Yeah, he’s incredible. Pretty much every woman on the roster, he’s worked with at least once. He’s the best and someone who is very great to go to."

Jay last wrestled on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, losing to Julia Hart in a No Holds Barred match.

Elsewhere during the interview, Anna addressed her "Fat Ass, Bad Attitude" catchphrase. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
