A new tag team is now in the mix on WWE SmackDown.
In a WWE SmackDown Exclusive, Ashante "Thee" Adonis & Cedric Alexander announced that they have joined forces. They made it clear that they intended to make a statement.
Cedric Alexander: My name is Cedric Alexander.
Ashante “Thee” Adonis: I’m Ashante “Thee” Adonis.
CA: Together, we’re putting the entire tag team division on notice. Pretty Deadly?
AA: Pretty dead to me.
CA: The Judgment Day?
AA: Y’all are in the way.
Cedric then asked AA if he had a response for every team he named. Ashante said he was trying to put some flavor into it. They disagreed about their sense of style, which gave Ashante an idea.
AA: Guess what? Actually, I just got our tag team name. Rags [points at Alexander] and riches [points at himself].
CA: Why do I gotta be rags?
AA: I don’t want to look at you. You look like a referee. I’m just playing. We gotta get you leveled up, though. I got you. Don’t even worry about it.
Alexander is a former Raw Tag Team Champion with Shelton Benjamin. Adonis previously teamed up with Top Dolla in Hit Row.
As of this writing, there is no word on when the team of Alexander and Adonis will compete on WWE programming.
