Asuka and Liv Morgan will take part in an interpromotional match on the February 17 episode of WWE SmackDown, just 24 hours before they both step inside the Elimination Chamber structure.
Asuka and Liv Morgan are no strangers to one another. Most recently, they were on opposite ends of a Six-Woman Tag Team Match on the February 13 episode of Monday Night Raw. In that match, Morgan tagged with Raquel Rodriguez and Natalya going up against Asuka, Nikki Cross, and Carmella.
All six women are scheduled to face off inside the Elimination Chamber to determine who will challenge Bianca Belair for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania.
In the end of that match, Asuka laid out all five other women before making Morgan tap out. This led to "The Empress of Tomorrow" teasing Morgan about her victory on Twitter. Never one to go down without a fight, Morgan challenged Asuka to meet her one-on-one.
After both women started going back and forth on Twitter on Thursday, February 16, Adam Pearce had no choice but to make the match official.
BREAKING: Clearly @WWEAsuka and @YaOnlyLivvOnce have unresolved issues lingering from #WWERaw.

They will get the chance to resolve them in person tomorrow night on #SmackDown when they go one-on-one in Montreal!
