Athena Now Claims She'll Be Out Of Action For 8-12 Months With Ankle Injury

Athena gives another update on her "injury."

Athena announced during the June 20 episode of Ring of Honor that she would be out for up to six months with an ankle injury. She was, however, immediately called out for faking it by Queen Aminata and Red Velvet.

One week later, she provided another update on the ankle injury, and the recovery timetable has somehow expanded. During a backstage emergency M.E.M. with Billie Starkz and Lexy Nair on the June 27, episode of Ring of Honor, Athena claimed she could be out of action for a maximum of 12 months thanks to this injury. This time, the backstage meeting was not interrupted and Lexy and Billie hyped up their leader, along with the two male security MIT members they hired.

There's still no word regarding the legitimacy of this injury and Athena is still planning on holding on to the championship despite claiming that she may not wrestle for one year.
