The forever reign continues.
Athena retained the ROH Women's Title in the main event of ROH Final Battle, submitting Billie Starkz a modified armlock.
Athena kicked out of the Star Ten from Starkz to keep the bout going. Starkz also blocked the O-Face, but after a series of reversals, she could not prevent the submission from Athena.
After the bout, Starkz extended her hand, but Athena did not accept the handshake. Athena said she wanted Starkz to be her minion. Athena held her hand for a high-five, and Starkz accepted, capping it off with a hug. Athena raised Starkz' hand and the two celebrated with Lexy Nair.
What an exchange in this main event title match between Athena and Billie Starkz!

This marked the 18th successful title defense for Athena. She has been champion since ROH Final Battle 2022 on December 10, 2022 when she defeated Mercedes Martinez to win the title.
This was the first time a women's match headlined ROH Final Battle.
