Austin Gunn Signs With AEW

Austin Gunn has officially joined All Elite Wrestling.

Following AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, Austin Gunn teamed with his dad Billy to take on Shawn Spears & Peter Avalon. The crowd chanted "Ass Boy" at Austin during the bout. The Gunn Club was victorious in the bout, which is set to air on AEW Dark next Tuesday, Jan. 15. Following the match, AEW Co-Executive Vice President Cody announced that Austin Gunn had signed with AEW.

There is no video of the announcement, but Fightful was able to confirm the signing.

Austin & Billy teamed up last week in a dark match against Shawn Spears & Preston Vance. The match was originally advertised as Gunn Club against Proud N Powerful (Santana & Ortiz) but was switched at the taping. The match did not air on Tuesday's episode of Dark and, according to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, was never intended to air. The match was reportedly looked at as more of a tryout match.

Austin reportedly signed with ROH in June 2019, but terms of the signing were never announced. He competed in the ROH Top Prospect Tournament, losing to Dak Draper in the finals.
