Bayley Wants Women's Tag Titles To Be For Those Who Aren't In The RAW Or SD Women's Title Picture

In 2019 those titles will be brought to the forefront.

During the Christmas Eve edition of Monday Night RAW which was taped the week before Christmas Eve, there was a segment that was shot backstage with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon dressed up as Santa Clause and Vince announced that in 2019 the long-awaited Women's Tag Team Championships will be re-introduced to the WWE landscape. For months the talk of the Women's Tag Titles have been brewing with a number of superstars talking about winning the belts and even Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon stating that it was all about finding the right time to bring back the titles.

Teams like Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, The IIconics and Sasha Banks and Bayley are all going to be gunning for those tag titles and prior to the announcement officially being made, former RAW Women's Champion Bayley joined Dana Warrior's 'Total Warrior' podcast and spoke about the forthcoming WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

“Well, we just want the division to keep growing and we want to build a future for the WWE and for the women’s division and we want, mainly right now we just want something we can all work towards and that, if we’re not in that championship spotlight like Ronda or Asuka now on SmackDown -- that there’s something [else] to work towards because there’s so many talented women on the roster and not all of us can go for that championship run and I just think it’d be cool to be --- have a tag team division because we have so many tag teams. We have The IIconics, we have Mandy and Sonya, we have the Riott Squad, Tamina and Nia, there’s just so many different options then there’s a bunch of girls in NXT and things like that -- that something we can really push towards, and we actually like... teaming together with Sasha, we’ve learned a lot as a tag team, and we have tag matches all the time but once we finally put our mindset in, ‘It can be possible to have a tag division’, we really started to kind of work and think more like The Revival or tag teams like that and just wanting to make a better future and do something that we can all be proud of.” Bayley expressed.
