Becky Lynch Comments On Mercedes Mone's AEW Contract

Becky Lynch wants to see women's evolutions and revolutions equate to contracts and financial rewards.

Becky Lynch and Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, are often tied together as they are both part of the Four Horsewomen, and they played major parts in the Women's Evolution in WWE. Lynch remains one of WWE's top stars, but Mone walked out of the company in 2022.

Mone recently joined AEW, as she made her official debut at AEW Dynamite: Big Business. A recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that it was believed that Mone's AEW contract would make her one of the highest-paid women in pro wrestling.

Speaking with the Orlando Sentinel, Becky Lynch was asked about Mercedes Mone's reported contract with AEW.

“I think that’s an important part, getting paid equally for the equal work and the equal position we are at right now. Women’s evolutions and revolutions are fine and well, but making sure that they equate to contracts and financial reward for these things, when we are doing equal work, is hugely important," Lynch said.

Mercedes Mone recently said that she was all about that bag, and money changes everything.

An advocate and producer for Mercedes Mone said that WWE previously made her a generous offer, but she went with her gut.
