Booker T Says Sammy Guevara Being Compared To A Young Eddie Guerrero Is A Good Fit

Sammy Guevara is a Spanish God and to some, he's also very reminiscent of one of the greatest Hispanic wrestlers of all time, Eddie Guerrero.

Booker T spoke about this very comparison on a recent episode of his Hall Of Fame podcast. The five-time WCW Champion would admit that it is a good comparison for Sammy, discussing the confidence visible in Sammy when he made his entrance to the ring for his debut match on Dynamite.

"When you look at Sammy, he's a good looking kid, he really is. And he can really perform at such a young age," he began. "And that's what  I look at most about this young kid. That was his debut match going out there in front of the world and doing such an awesome job and letting the world see, 'hey, man. This kid is pretty good. We got our eyes on him.' So no, I don't think it's too early to be saying something like that about Sammy."

When it was clarified that the comparison was especially considerate of what a rookie Eddie Guerrero was like in the squared circle, Booker doubled down on how much the comparison fits Sammy.

"Because that tells a story as far as how good one is gonna be when you see him. When they first get in the ring," he continued. "So, yeah. Sammy and the comparison, I think it's actually a pretty good comparison."

Booker also previewed the AEW World Championship bout at Full Gear pitting Cody vs. Sammy's Inner Circle stablemate, Chris Jericho. You can check that out here.
