Booker T discusses Stratton/Stratus.
At WWE Elimination Chamber, Tiffany Stratton will make history with Trish Stratus, as the duo will team up to face Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.
Notably, this will be Stratus' first time competing in a non-rumble match since September 2023, when she wrapped up her feud with Becky Lynch.
Some fans have praised this booking decision, noting that it's important for Stratton to work with a Hall Of Famer like Stratus.
On the latest edition of his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T echoed a similar sentiment, comparing the situation to a time where he got to work with Ricky Steamboat.
“For somebody like Tiffany Stratton who’s been in the business for not a very long time at all, she’s not like a seasoned veteran or anything like that. She’s a pro, she can go out there and perform at a very very high level. She can work with anybody at this stage, three years in. She’s truly a phenom as far as someone who has picked it up the way she has. But, I’m gonna tell you right now, I thought I was really good when I was young in the business when I first got signed to WCW and then I find myself working with somebody like Steamboat. I tell you man, when I work somebody like Steamboat — It wasn't a performance that I was thinking about. I was thinking about, man, I made it. I’m here man. I’m getting ready to wrestle Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat, are you kidding me? That’s what I’m telling myself in the locker room. For someone like Tiffany, she’s gonna have that same feeling like I’ve risen, I’ve made it, I’m here, I’m going to go out and work truly one of the best that ever did it. I swear, those moments right there man, you cherish those moments. Those moments you remember to the end. I don’t remember a lot of matches, but I do remember in Germany working with Steamboat for 20 minutes inside of the middle of that squared circle. When I left that ring man, I had learned so much. She’s going to get so much knowledge out of that."
Booker then talked about a potential match between Stratton and Stratus.
“Yeah man, it would be great to see those [girls] go out and scrap it up at least one time before Trish — before we can’t see Trish anymore in that ring. If Trish can do it, I say let her go out there and get it done.”
