Bret Hart comments on the Owen Hart Foundation TOurnament in AEW.

In 2022, AEW launched the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament alongside Martha Hart to honor the legacy of her late husband Owen Hart. Though Bret Hart was part of the first AEW event in 2019 when he unveiled the AEW World Title, he has not been part of the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament.

During a virtual signing with Signed By Superstars, Bret was asked if he had been asked to be part of it.

"No. Never asked me," he said.

Asked if he would do it, Bret replied, "I'd have to think about it. I like Tony. I'd be happy to help out. I don't know if I would want to go down. I think it might ruffle WWE's feathers. I get everything tied in through them. Then again, it can't hurt to ask."

Bryan Danielson and Mariah May were the winners of the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament. The finals took place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
