WrestleMania was Hell on Earth for Edge and Finn Balor in 2023.
Edge once again tapped into his brood persona and picked up a victory in Hell in a Cell against "The Demon" Finn Balor at WWE WrestleMania 39.
With unique entrances that saw Edge come out to the music of Slayer and Finn Balor enter using his old theme song, these two rivals were prepared for war.

Edge and Finn Balor utilized every weapon they could find under the ring and at one point, the match was even stopped because of a cut on the head of Finn Balor after he was hit with a ladder. Once the blood was cleaned up, the match kicked into another gear, with both men doing everything they could to try to gain victory.
Edge hit an Impaler DDT off of a ladder, a la his 2002 No Disqualification match with Eddie Guerrero. Finn Balor jumped off a platform inside of the Hell in a Cell structure, delivering a Coup de Grace that Edge could avoid, sending Finn Balor crashing through a table. In the end, Edge delivered a Con-Chair-To, finishing the fight once and for all.

With this victory, Edge successfully competed in his fourteenth match at WrestleMania.
