Carmelo Hayes: Game Seven Against Andrade Wasn't The Ultimate Goal, Winning WWE United States Title Is What Matters

Carmelo Hayes has his eyes on the prize.

Carmelo Hayes and Andrade clashed several times on WWE SmackDown in recent months, and their feud led to "Game Seven", their seventh match, on October 25th. WWE United States Champion LA Knight attacked both men during the bout, so the match ended without a clear winner. Knight then beat Hayes and Andrade at WWE Crown Jewel.

Speaking with Gorilla Position, Carmelo Hayes was asked about the score being tied in his series with Andrade. He was asked whether he hoped that they would settle the score.

"I mean, I hope so. The real winner wins that United States Championship. The Game Seven and things like that, that really wasn’t the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is to have a championship, so that’s the goal as far as a winner. Game seven, game eight, doesn’t matter. Get that U.S. Championship, that’s what matters," Hayes said.
