Claudio Castagnoli: Facing Bryan Danielson On AEW Dynamite Will Be Emotional, Especially If It's The Last Time

Claudio Castagnoli says it's going to be special.

On the October 8th episode of AEW Dynamite, Claudio Castagoli and Bryan Danielson will be on opposite sides of a tag team match that will pit the AEW World Champion against his former Blackpool Combat Club stablemate. The match may be the last time that they share the ring together, as Danielson has made it clear that while he won't retire while he holds the title, the end of his full-time in-ring career is looming.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino for The Takedown on SI, Claudio Castagnolo shared his thoughts ahead of the match.

“It's gonna be very emotional. I was in Bryan's last match before, when he was forced to retire. It was a tag match as well, and I was in it. It was in London, England. This, I think, will be on a little bit different terms. I mean, obviously like I said, it's gonna be very emotional if that's the last time I'm going to be standing across the ring from Bryan. It's gonna be special," Castagnoli said.

Castagnoli also commented on how Danielson always goes all out, for better or worse. He noted that Danielson left everything he had in the ring every time he competed, regardless of the potential impact on his future.

“Bryan is always trying to compete at the top of his abilities. He's never gonna hold back. He's always gonna leave every single thing that he has in the ring, no matter if that's good or bad for his personal future," Castagnoli said.

Castagnoli previously said that Danielson deserved to end his career on his terms. Check out his comments here.
