CM Punk Calls Out Gunther On 9/2 WWE Raw, 'It's 1996 And I'm Patrick Roy. I'll Take Money In Gold'

CM Punk has his eyes set on gold, calling out WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on the September 2nd episode of WWE Raw.

Punk said he's a business, man, and once again stated that he's not there to make friends, he's in WWE to make money. He said he'll take that money however he can get it whether it's cash, love or direct deposit. He then stated, "It's 1996 and I'm Patrick Roy. I'll take it in gold."

He then called out Gunther, congratulating him for defending the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Randy Orton at WWE Bash In Berlin. He said that he put Drew McIntyre to sleep at WWE Bash in Berlin, and now it's time he woke up as champion.

"The goal is gold. The target is Gunther."

Unfortunately for Punk, McIntyre is not done with him as he attacked Punk following his promo. McIntyre broke the AJ Lee-Larry bracelet and sent Punk out of the arena on a stretcher.
