CM Punk is asked about facing Drew McIntyre inside of Hell in a Cell and says he's more concerned with using his fists, or potentially learning a new hold, to topple the "Scottish Psychopath."
CM Punk stuck it to Drew McIntyre again at WWE Clash at the Castle, costing him the World Heavyweight Championship in front of his hometown crowd at WWE's first-ever PLE in Scotland. Due to the vitriolic nature of the rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, some may believe and fantasy book an immediate meeting between the two men inside of a structure like Hell in a Cell.
Such a fantasy booking scenario was proposed to CM Punk during the post-show press conference following the event in Scotland and the former WWE Champion promptly shut that down and went on to say that he's not interested in competing in Hell in a Cell bouts or Ladder Matches at this stage in his WWE career. He is simply concerned about getting his hands on McIntyre.
"First match is a Hell in a Cell? Brother, you have to take that fantasy booking shit elsewhere. I don’t want to ever do a Hell in a Cell. I don’t want to ever do a Ladder Match. I’m going to beat him up with my two fists. He wants to make fun of my tricep, I’m going to hurt him with it. I’m going to figure out something. Maybe learn a new hold. I’ll break his dreams. I’ll break his face," said Punk.
CM Punk may be cleared to return to action for the first time since the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble as soon as the June 21 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown from Chicago. Learn more about CM Punk's injury status here.
