Cody Rhodes confirms that Jeremy Borash worked on the vignette featuring himself and Roman Reigns confronting one another on the Georgia Tech football field. He also confirms that Paul Heyman and Rob Fee helped put the segment together.
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns met on the football field at Georgia Tech in an attempt to find literal common ground as they head to WWE Bad Blood to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Booker T previously noted that Jeremy Borash had worked on the segment, and now, Cody Rhodes has confirmed that.
During an interview with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Rhodes reflected on the segment. He claimed that he and Roman Reigns never spoke to each other prior to the segment and created a moment that sometimes played the genuine nature of professional wrestling. Cody also confirmed that not only Jeremy Borash but also Paul Heyman and Rob Fee worked on the segment.
"I wish people could have been there on the ground. To see how real our business can get. Never spoke–just stood on opposite sides of the field and walked towards each other, neither with knowledge of what the other would say and just going straight through," said Rhodes. "Hats off to Mr. Heyman, JB, and Rob Fee for putting it in such a stylized manner. Reminded me of when World Class [Championship Wrestling] used to have credits roll after."
WWE has begun rolling end credits, naming Paul Levesque and Lee Fitting as the executive producers of WWE SmackDown. Shawn Michaels was also given an executive producer credit at the end of WWE NXT's debut on the CW Network.
Paul Heyman hasn't been seen on WWE television since being taken out by The Bloodline at Madison Square Garden. Fans can check out his comments on the future of Roman Reigns' career here.
