Cody Rhodes is going to add an exclamation mark to the debut of SmackDown on the USA Network.
The final episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX kicked off with a bang on September 6 as Cody Rhodes addressed Solo Sikoa's desire to challenge him for the Undisputed WWE Title. Cody Rhodes agreed to defend the title on the September 13 episode of SmackDown, the season premiere episode, which will be broadcast on the USA Network.
Cody Rhodes tried to goad Jacob Fatu into accepting his challenge, but Fatu remained loyal to Sikoa, and the match was made official for next week. However, another wrinkle would be added, as Nick Aldis would say that he's tired of the constant interference by the other members of The Bloodline. Therefore, the championship will be defended inside a Steel Cage.
Thanks to #SmackDown General Manager @RealNickAldis, we’re getting @CodyRhodes vs. Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Steel Cage Match NEXT WEEK on SmackDown on @USANetwork! pic.twitter.com/4ZTZxDOCj4
