Cody Rhodes: Logan Paul Won't Be An Outsider For Much Longer, He's A Wrestler

Cody Rhodes praises Logan Paul and thanks him for eliminating Seth Rollins from the Royal Rumble.

Rhodes, who had been sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in June 2022, returned at WWE Royal Rumble 2023. He won the battle royal to punch his ticket to WrestleMania by last eliminating Gunther. During the match, Logan Paul also made his return. He stole the show with a springboard spot where he and Ricochet clotheslined each other. The social media megastar signed with WWE in 2022 and had only competed in three matches before the Royal Rumble, but he has been renowned for his performances. He generated more buzz on Saturday night when he eliminated former Universal Champion Seth Rollins from the Royal Rumble.

Speaking on the February 1 episode of WWE's The Bump, Rhodes discussed his return. In one highlight, Rhodes was asked about Paul's viral spot. Rhodes noted that he saw it out of the corner of his eye before he stated that Paul won't be an outsider for much longer. He stated that Paul is a wrestler, even if he doesn't know it yet.

“I got to [see] it out of the corner of my eye, and all I could honestly think was, this novelty of Logan Paul being in a WWE ring and being an outsider, he ain’t gonna be an outsider much longer. Dude’s a wrestler. He may not know it yet, but he’s a wrestler," Rhodes said.

Rhodes also brought up the fact that Paul eliminated Rollins, someone he clashed with throughout the opening stretch of his WWE return in 2022. He called the elimination one of the bigger stories he's ever seen right in front of him. Rhodes then thanked Paul for taking Rollins out of the match and preventing him from getting hit with a Pedigree.

"Seth Rollins getting eliminated by Logan Paul is one of the bigger stories I’ve ever witnessed right in front of me. This is a champion of champions, this is a future Hall of Famer, and this is a very athletic, amazing individual. YouTuber, though. He threw out Seth Rollins, so genuine shock in my heart when it happened. But also I avoided getting a pedigree because of it so weirdly, thank you Logan Paul, I guess," Rhodes said.
