Cody Rhodes' main focus is to make sure he continues main-eventing WrestleMania.
Cody Rhodes headlined both WrestleMania 39 and 40 in matches against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Now, he is the proud possessor of what he calls the "North Star of professional wrestling," the WWE Title belt. As such, he is a marked man and the target of many wrestlers who would call Cody their dream opponent.
During a recent appearance on the Superstar Crossover podcast with Josh Martinez, Cody Rhodes was asked who his dream opponent would be. Cody responded that his goal is to headline WrestleMania; therefore, his dream opponent is whomever he faces in that main event.
"My goal is to main event WrestleMania, and who I main event WrestleMania with is my dream match, and I do not have that answer. I do not know what that is. I might have an inkling. I might have a hint. I might have multiple hints. I might have different doors to open, but that, to me, is my dream match. I don't mean to give a cop-out answer, but in this moment, when you're holding the North Star of the business, every one is the one you want to be the dream match."
Elsewhere in the interview, Cody Rhodes spoke about his goal to still bring back, in some form, the Winged Eagle WWE Title belt. Read more here.
Cody Rhodes also recently commented on Darby Allin's potential to be the face of AEW.
