Cody Rhodes Shares His Favorite Thing About Arn Anderson's 'Glock' Promo

Arn Anderson is over with a whole new generation of fans.

On the September 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, Arn Anderson had a heart-to-heart with Cody Rhodes, explaining how Malakai Black had ruined their lives since he showed up in AEW. The Enforcer then criticized Rhodes for his lack of focus at Dynamite: Grand Slam and said he'd kick Malakai's ass if he wasn't so old.

The story he proceeded to share garnered quite a bit of attention from the wrestling community.

"You pull up to a red light, a man jerks the car door open and says, 'Out of the car, I'm taking your car.' You say, 'Okay, take it. Just don't hurt me.' You know what I do? I pull out the Glock, put it on his forehead, and spill his brains all over the concrete. I'm Arn Anderson! And all that implies, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna coach a loser," Anderson said.

Speaking with Brandon Walker on the Barstool Rasslin' podcast, Cody Rhodes spoke about the now-infamous promo and shared his favorite thing about it.

"My favorite part about it, he held the 'glock' to my head, and Tony can confirm this, [Arn] asked me, Tony, and Lee Johnson at the Go Position, 'do you want to know what I'm going to say or do you want to be surprised?' I said, 'surprise me.' I have never been so surprised. Lee Johnson, who is a baby growing into his body, he's a baby wrestler. That's the stuff you learn from. I was in the ring the night Arn Anderson talked about splattering brains on the concrete and indicated he had his glock in the car all the time. He got to experience that. He had the number one selling shirt and he wears it every week. When he changes, he changes into the other gun shirt he has. It's Arn Anderson, if he asks, 'do you want to be surprised?' Of course. These guys and girls who have done it and made money and have gotten over, do your magic. In this case, I thought two things, I'm going to come back and have to explain to The Khan how I didn't know about it and I take full responsibility and now we've been taken off the air on TNT or, I thought more what would happen was, people would love it because it's Arn Anderson. There might not be people who know about the Four Horsemen, but they know about the glock," Rhodes said.

During a recent interview, Anderson clarified his remarks and stated that he has never carried a gun. Click here to learn more.

Cody was set to defend his TNT Championship at AEW Battle of the Belts but was removed from the show after not being medically cleared to compete. As a result, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara will do battle to crown an interim champion.

Fightful will have live coverage of the event this evening beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
