Cuervo's roommate speaks out.
At the Lucha Libre Boom/Lucha Memes/Generación XXI show on Nov. 19, Puerto Rican star Cuervo was taken to the hospital after Angel o Demonio threw a concrete block on the back of his head. Cuervo was outside the ring and not paying attention when Demonio, who was inside the ring, tossed the block on him. The blow knocked Cuervo unconscious and forced him to undergo surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.

Sinn Bodhi, who roomed with Cuervo while the two toured Mexico with for International Wrestling Revolution Group earlier this month, spoke to WrestleZone and gave an update on how Cuervo is doing.
Bodhi stated that there was "a large, 1-2 inch thick crescent-shaped mark on the imaging machine that showed all of the blood pooling up on Cuervo’s skull." Bodhi confirmed that Cuervo underwent surgery to remove the clot and that he briefly opened his eyes last night, but currently remains unconscious. According to Cuervo's Facebook page, the wrestler is in stable condition.
Bodhi described the backstage area as "being pretty crazy, with the doctor trying to hold the wound on Cuervo’s head closed, and Cuervo’s eyes rolled back in his head and he was vomiting, showing signs of a concussion." He said Demonio came up to Cuervo backstage and began speaking in Spanish. According to Bodhi, Demonio said he was aiming for Cuervo's back and placed blame on Cuervo for not paying attention. As previously reported, Demonio posted on Facebook after the incident and alluded to the reason he threw the block, saying it a receipt for Cuervo delivering hard chair shots. Bodhi confirmed that Demonio said as much backstage as well.
Bodhi said that Cuervo was nervous prior to the match as it was his first extreme match. As previously reported, promoter Hector Guzman Herrera and organizer Juan Morales Mejia must explain to the Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission why an extreme match took place at the event since they are prohibited in the territorial state.
Demonio is currently suspended indefinitely for throwing the block. Bodhi believes he should be arrested for attempted murder.
Finally, Bodhi praised members of the lucha family, including Pentagon Jr, LA Park, and Judas Mesias for aiding Cuervo despite not knowing him well. He also sent out information if you would like to help with Cuervo's medical expenses.

There is a benefit show for Cuervo scheduled for Nov. 22. Everyone on the show is reportedly working the event for free.
