Dexter Lumis and The Miz will clash in a high-stakes match on the December 19 episode of WWE Raw.
The two men have been feuding for the past several months. At first, it seemed like Lumis was stalking The Miz when he returned to WWE in August, but it turned out that the former WWE Champion paid Lumis to do so as part of an elaborate scheme.
Johnny Gargano saw through The Miz's plan and revealed that he had stopped paying Lumis, which is why the former NXT star had actually been tormenting him. This revelation led to a heated grudge match on the November 28 episode of WWE Raw. There, Lumis beat The Miz to earn a WWE contract and win the money he was owed.
On the December 12 episode, The Miz attacked Lumis and tried to take his money back. When WWE official Adam Pearce stopped him, The Miz challenged Lumis to a rematch. Gargano accepted but said the two would have to double the stakes by competing in a Ladder Match, where the winner would walk away with all of the money.
