Dolph Ziggler Talks About Smackdown Spirit Squad Reunion

Tuesday night's Smackdown saw the return of one of 2006's most integral acts, The Spirit Squad.

Three of the five members reunited on MizTV, as Kenny Dykstra, Mike Mondo and Dolph Ziggler were in the ring together. The fun was short-lived, as Dyktra and Mondo turned on Ziggler, before getting sent packing with Superkicks.

Maven Explains Why WWE 'Backed Down' With The Difficulty Of Training During Season One Of Tough Enough

"There’s a documentary about Daniel (Bryan), and I’ve been here for like 12 years and (Renee Young) have like 12 shows, so it’s so cool that all the money that went in what would have been a real package or DVD, or story was too much to show some of the horrific things I had to go through to win back the audience," said Ziggler sarcastically on Talking Smack. :I think it was great, a whole new group of 8 year olds needed to know what I went through to not get Nicky chants, and working towards the main event seven or eight times."

WWE originally wanted to have all of the Spirit Squad members present, but Johnny Jeter has a new job that would have conflicted with the appearance, and Nick Mitchell was overseas at the time.

Ziggler competes against the Miz in a career vs. title match at No Mercy tonight.
