Sammy Guevara avenges his loss to Chris Jericho thanks to Don Callis and a baseball bat.
At AEW WrestleDream, The Don Callis Family trio of Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Sammy Guevara bested the trio of Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Chris Jericho.
The match was a wild affair with all six men hitting their major signature spots and all individuals working well with their partners, despite largely being unfamiliar with one another as teammates.
The end of the match came when Chris Jericho tried to lock his former protege in the Walls of Jericho, but referee Aubrey Edwards had her back turned as she was trying to get Will Ospeay and the IWGP United Kingdom Championship out of the ring. This distraction allowed Don Callis to hit Chris Jericho in the throat with a baseball bat so that Sammy Guevara could pick up the pinfall victory over his mentor.

With this victory, Konosuke Takeshita and Will Ospreay picked up another victory in the record books over Kenny Omega. Also, Kota Ibushi, whom Don Callis said was the next singles target for Takeshita, picks up another loss AEW. Perhaps most importantly, Sammy Guevara avenged his loss to Chris Jericho from AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2023 in Queens, New York.
