West was the color commentator during the ascension of TNA Wrestling as a major alternative to WWE back in the mid-2000s. He is best known as the color commentator alongside Mike Tenay and for his hot deals on the TNA website. He returned to the company in 2017 for Slammiversary XV. Eventually, he would be replaced on a weekly commentary by Taz but his unique approach to commentary is still fondly remembered by fans of that era.
Jeff Jarrett, the founder of TNA was always impressed by Don West including his ability to name the entire lineup for the Chicago Cubs since the 1950s. Learn more here.
Congratulations to Don on this great news.
