Drew McIntyre is set to get another crack at the World Heavyweight Championship.
On the December 11 episode of WWE Raw, Adam Pearce announced that Drew McIntyre will once again challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, this time on the January 1 episode of WWE Raw. Pearce called this episode the 'Day One' edition of Raw.

McIntyre lost to Rollins in a championship bout at the Crown Jewel premium live event in November 2023. Shortly after the bout, McIntyre turned heel. Since turning heel, McIntyre has picked up wins over the likes of Sami Zayn and Jey Uso.
