On the August 26th episode of WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre said that CM Punk always attacked him from behind. That's exactly what Punk did, as he was hiding under the ring before he blindsided the former WWE Champion. Punk then whipped McIntyre with a leather strap, and he proceeded to whip some security guards as well.
McIntyre then took to Twitter/X to say that his point was proven. He also called Punk a "pussy." In the post, he included a clip of Punk attacking him from behind.

Before he attacked McIntyre, Punk was live on Instagram while he was under the ring.

Punk and McIntyre have been feuding throughout 2024, and they finally clashed at WWE SummerSlam. There, McIntyre beat Punk in a match where Seth Rollins was the special guest referee. This marked Punk's return to the ring after he suffered a torn triceps at WWE Royal Rumble.
McIntyre is set to face Punk in a Strap Match at WWE Bash in Berlin. Fightful will have coverage of the show as it airs.
