Edge Doesn't Know Where Return Rumors Started, Denies Signing A New WWE Contract

For months there has been speculation that Edge would be returning to the ring. The rumors started when Edge delivered a spear to Elias at SummerSlam 2019, showing that he was at least cleared for some physical activity following his 2011 retirement due to neck injury.

He was reportedly in Pittsburgh in October on "WWE business," but no further details were provided. He also reportedly signed a new WWE deal with a "pretty nice upside." Edge has consistently denied reports and rumors of his return, tweeting, "still not" whenever the rumors start to heat up again.

Speaking on Live On 4 Legs, Edge addressed the rumors of his potential return.

"It's kind of funny to me, honestly. All of these rumors happening that 'I've been to Pittsburgh' and 'I've been cleared to wrestle again' and 'I've signed a new contract.' I have no idea where any of it came from. The last time I was in Pittsburgh, I had my wrist fused in 2013. I haven't signed a contract. I think I would know. I get this tsunami of comments saying, 'You're coming back. You signed a contract.' I'm like, I really haven't. 'Oh yeah, that's what you'd say.' Okay, whatever," he said.

Triple H recently commented on the speculation that Edge would be returning, saying he's a fan of Edge and would love to see it, but his health and family come first. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
