El Hijo del Vikingo is back.
El Hijo del Vikingo returned to AAA Lucha Libre TV on August 24th, confronting AAA Mega Champion Alberto El Patron.
Vikingo had to relinquish the title in March due to injury. He underwent knee surgery in February.

Patron responded to Vikingo's return by saying, “What are you doing? You are in my locker room and come here to talk about Hijo del Vikingo, who looks like a member of Kumbia Kings? He comes in sandals, he probably doesn’t even know Spanish because I do not understand the dialect coming out of his mouth. I do not need to give an explanation to anyone, much less you. So if you or anyone comes to my locker room to confront me, at least wash your mouth. Now get out.”

Patron, with the help of Konnan, won the title from Nic Nemeth at TriplemaniaXXXII CDMX.
