Ethan Page On Ricky Saints Joining NXT: I'm Happy For Him, He's Following In My Footsteps

Ethan Page shares his thoughts on Ricky Saints joining NXT.

Ricky Saints, formerly known as Ricky Starks, made his NXT debut on the February 11th episode of WWE NXT, and he signed his contract the following week. Ethan Page interrupted the contract signing and noted that Saints was following in his footsteps. Saints and Je'Von Evans then beat Page and Wes Lee on the February 25th episode of NXT.

Speaking with Miss T at a WWE 2K25 event, Ethan Page was asked to comment on Ricky Saints joining NXT.

“I’m a little preoccupied right now because I’m dealing with Je’Von [Evans]. Last night, we were in Cincinnati, I didn’t have the best night ever. It was myself and Wes Lee in a losing effort to Ricky Saints in his debut, and Je’Von Evans, my least favorite wrestler in the WWE. I need to finish up whatever I have going on with Je’Von so I can move on and hopefully get back to either winning the championship or heading to the main roster and finding my way to WrestleManias and Royal Rumbles and Survivor Series. I’m happy for Ricky Saints, though. As a friend, I told him when I walked out, I was like, ‘Hey, as your friend, this is great,’ that he’s following in my footsteps. I hope he can fill the big shoes that I’m leaving. We’ll see," Page said.

Like Saints, Page previously had a run in AEW. Within weeks of his AEW departure in 2024, he joined NXT and won the NXT Championship.
