Alan Angels wants to succeed in IMPACT/TNA the same way that Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo have.
Over the past number of years, many stars have made the jump to IMPACT/TNA from other major promotions like AEW, WWE, and ROH. Many of those names have made their mark on the company, especially in the case of Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo, who have both held various championships for the promotion.
While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Angels said that Maclin and Purrazzo were in a similar position before coming to IMPACT. Angels also noted that he wants to have success on the same level of both Maclin and Purrazzo in the near future.
"Yeah, I think Steve and Deonna are in the same boat as me. They were on big stages before, didn’t really get a chance to show everything that they could do and now we’re in this environment where we have that freedom to show we can have good matches with good wrestlers and hold our own with some of the best in the world. Steve and Deonna both are two people that have really, really shined in IMPACT and over the next few years that’s what I hope to do in TNA. ‘Cause the talent that we have there right now is absolutely insane. I think I can go with all of them."
